Activities

For the first time, Cre-Arte is touring Europe with the performance of “Es tiempo de Amar”, put on by the 2014 project (supported by AMI and AMG).

Headquarted at the Centro Educativo y Cultural por Personas con Discapacidad in San Carlos de Bariloche, Cre-Arte undertakes various artistic workshops (painting, theatre, dance, music, batik, drawing) to promote awareness and ownership on the part of the disabled of their rights. In 2014, the project supported by AMI and AMG undertook workshops in dance, theatre, music and percussion, culminating in an interdisciplinary workshop synthesizing three artistic productions and producing an authentic performance. This tour enables the young users of CreArte to grow artistically and recognize themselves as “artists” worthy of the name.

“Es tiempo de amar” is performed in Spain in Colmenar Viejo at the Escena Mobile Festival in Seville, and in Italy at the Festival dei Centri Educativi at the Preneste Theatre Centre in Rome.

The programme also foresees visits to European associations working with people with psychological-physical disabilities through art, among which Debajo del Sombrero in Madrid and ZeroFavole in Reggio Emilia. During some performances (the Festival in Seville and Colmenar Viejo) CreArte will also present work realized in their Batik workshop.
